Violaine Coué

PhD, R&D Category Innovation Manager

Violaine graduated with an engineer degree in Chemistry from ENSCP (Paris, 2003), a master degree in Material Sciences from Pierre et Marie Curie University (2004), completed by a management & marketing program (Unitech, ETH Zürich, 2003).

She obtained her PhD in Material sciences at Nantes Materials Institute in 2008, with the synthesis and electronic mechanism understanding of hybrid organic-inorganic photochromic crystals.

She worked with different companies worldwide between 2002 and 2012, all related to materials and optics (Agfa, L’Oréal, Procter&Gamble).

She joined Essilor in 2007-2009 to work on photochromic and electrochromic disruptive systems.

She joined again in 2012, where she managed different activities such as plastic film forming for lenses or filtering systems through dye absorption and coordinated lens added values R&D activities. Since summer 2019, she’s become Innovation Category Manager, focusing on anti-reflective products portfolio strategy.
